Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA)

Our highly-trained staff are constantly updated on all current legislation affecting you and your property.

David Plaister Ltd is a member of ARLA, the leading regulatory body to which membership is strictly restricted to agents who can demonstrate good financial practices and whose staff have a strong working knowledge of all legal issues involved in letting a residential property. Therefore, any advice or information we give you will be based on the latest available legislation.

The Property Ombudsman (Sales & Lettings)

David Plaister Ltd is a member of The Property Ombudsman (TPO) which is the UK government approved scheme that provides a free, fair service, resolving disputes between member agents and their clients. As a member of the British and Irish Ombudsman, the TPO follows the standards and code of practice of the association, which is used in the handling of complaints. Registered agents who follow this code ensure all legal obligations are met and that ‘best practice’ is followed at all times.

Meet the Team

​Managing Director

Born and bred in Weston-super-Mare with circa 30 years service within the property industry, David has a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with all aspects of the industry.

A country man at heart, in his spare time David enjoys shooting as a hobby and spending time outside with the dogs in the garden or working on his small holding, where his rears pigs, sheep, pheasants and poultry.

Katrina Plaister MNAEA

Katrina has supported her husband David since he began in business many years ago. She previously worked as an Interior Designer but is now enjoying being fully involved in the day to day running and operations of the busy office in Weston-super-Mare.

Katrina also is an avid gardener, where she spends most of her time pottering around her vegetable plot with her beloved dogs, Hedley and Mable.

Liz Wilkinson

Having spent around 25 years in the industry, Liz started her property career in residential sales. Liz has concentrated on the lettings market over the last 15 years and her knowledge and experience is second to none. Liz also runs David Plaister's Auction Department a task which she enjoys immensely.

When Liz is not concentrating on lettings and auctions she is happiest spending time with her family and three beautiful grandchildren.


With over 10 years' experience in property management and letting, Louise is the font of all knowledge. Her friendly and enthusiastic manner is impeccably placed for our busy lettings department. Together with Liz we have the perfect team for all things 'Letting'. Louise is also fully qualified in residential sales.

When Louise is not advising potential clients in the world of lettings she will be spending time with her husband and two children and socialising with her friends.

Edward Plaister ​MNAEA

Ed is a qualified member of NAEA and is also training in Lettings and Auctions.

Previously, Ed spent five winter seasons teaching skiing in Europe and spent the summers running a forestry business in Somerset. He is incredibly enthusiastic and is eager to throw himself into a whole new industry. His Dad say's that he may have potential!

Bethany Stamp
Auction Manager​

Beth has recently taken over the role of ‘Auction Manager’ and runs David Plaister's Auction Department. Beth previously worked within a solicitors conveyancing department which allows Beth a better understanding of the legal aspect of buying and selling property. Beth is here to assist should you have any queries about the auction process, or any specific questions with regard to our auction properties. Beth is also studying for the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) qualification.

Laura Adams

Laura is our Property Administrator and the newest member of our team. Laura previously worked for the Police Department as a Call Handler and has decided to change careers into the wonderful world of property. Laura works mainly on the marketing for our properties and puts together the brochures and website adverts, she is also our New Build administrator which is a growing department within our business. Laura is also here if you need any assistance or advice on the properties we have for sale. Outside of work Laura enjoys socialising with her friends and family and is currently working on the renovation of her new home with her partner.

Joseph Hooper

Joseph has recently joined the David Plaister Ltd team. He is one of our rising stars!! Joe is responsible for the majority of viewings, as well as contacting ‘Hot Applicants’ to maximise the sale or rental of our properties. As well as this, Joe makes regular contact with our Vendors to keep them updated with the marketing of their property or to discuss feedback from previous viewings. He is more than happy to answer any queries you should have about buying or selling property. Joseph is also studying for the NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents).
