Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA)

Our highly-trained staff are constantly updated on all current legislation affecting you and your property.

David Plaister Ltd is a member of ARLA, the leading regulatory body to which membership is strictly restricted to agents who can demonstrate good financial practices and whose staff have a strong working knowledge of all legal issues involved in letting a residential property. Therefore, any advice or information we give you will be based on the latest available legislation.

The Property Ombudsman (Sales & Lettings)

David Plaister Ltd is a member of The Property Ombudsman (TPO) which is the UK government approved scheme that provides a free, fair service, resolving disputes between member agents and their clients. As a member of the British and Irish Ombudsman, the TPO follows the standards and code of practice of the association, which is used in the handling of complaints. Registered agents who follow this code ensure all legal obligations are met and that ‘best practice’ is followed at all times.

Meet the Team

​Managing Director

Born and bred in Weston-super-Mare with over 30 years of service within the property industry, David has a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with all aspects of the industry.

A country man at heart, in his spare time David enjoys shooting as a hobby and spending time outdoors with the dogs in the garden or working on his small holding, where he rears pigs, sheep, pheasants and poultry.

Katrina Plaister MNAEA

Katrina has supported her husband David since he began in business many years ago. She previously worked as an Interior Designer but is now enjoying being fully involved in the day to day running and operations of the busy office in Weston-super-Mare.

Katrina also is an avid gardener, where she spends most of her time pottering around her vegetable plot with her beloved dogs, Hedley, Mable and Margot.

Edward Plaister ​MNAEA

A qualified member of NAEA, and building thorough understanding and expertise over the last 5 years, Ed absolutely thrives in the excitement and diversity David Plaister Ltd has to offer in today’s competitive industry.

Having spent a considerable amount of time in Europe teaching his passion of skiing, Ed is now rooted in North Somerset, and enjoys everything the West Country has to offer.

Lettings Manager

With over 15 years' experience in property management and letting, Louise is the font of all knowledge. Her friendly and enthusiastic manner is impeccably placed for our busy lettings department. Together with Lucy we have the perfect team for all things 'Letting'. Louise is also fully qualified in residential sales.

When Louise is not advising potential clients in the world of lettings she will be spending time with her husband and two children and socialising with her friends.

Chloé Plaister
​Auction Manager

Chloe has previously had a vibrant five years of travelling around the world and living in New Zealand, but has since decided to settle in the UK and get involved with the exciting industry of property. Most are unaware of Chloe’s digital marketing talents, to which Chloé is extremely eager to implement her extensive knowledge to keep David Plaister Ltd ahead of the game.

Chloé predominantly runs David Plaister Ltd’s Auction Department and she enjoys the fast paced environment of the property auction world. Chloé is here to assist should you have any queries about the auction process, or any specific questions with regard to our auction properties. Chloé is also studying for the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) qualification.

Gemma Powell
Office Administrator​

Gemma is your first port of call - answering your phone calls and booking appointments. Friendly, approachable and ready to help with all of your enquires. Gemma has been working at David Plaister Ltd for over a year and is a valued member of the team.

Out of work Gemma enjoys country walks with her dog and spending time with her friends and family. Gemma also has a passion for interior design and renovating houses with her husband.

Lucy Amesbury
Lettings Administrator​

Lucy is a member of our lettings team, having been with us for just over a year she assists Louise with all aspects of lettings and property management. Lucy finished her A Levels in 2018 and went straight into full time work at David Plaister Ltd, she enjoys the fast-paced nature of the business and has become a valued member of the team.

Her friendly and helpful nature has been greatly placed. Lucy is also studying for the ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) qualification.

Joe Hester
​Sales Negotiator

Joe is a rising star within the David Plaister Ltd team. He is responsible for the majority of viewings, as well as managing applicants to maximise sales and rental potential through personal recommendations. As well as this, Joe makes regular contact with our Vendor's to keep them updated on the marketing of their property and to offer any additional feedback or advice.
